ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the Afghan Taliban attacked Pakistan at the behest of India.

PM Shehbaz Sharif, while addressing the federal cabinet, said that we were forced to take strong retaliatory action against Afghanistan, and we are ready to hold talks with Afghanistan on reasonable terms.

Addressing the federal cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan and Afghanistan have a long common border, and Pakistan has hosted Afghan refugees in abundance despite limited resources.

4 million Afghans have been living in Pakistan for decades, and we have maintained and maintained a relationship of brotherhood.

Afghan terrorists are martyring our police and army personnel and ordinary citizens of Pakistan.

Terrorism ended in 2018, then how did the terrorists return? The government, after 2018, brought the terrorists back and settled them.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said that, unfortunately, a few days ago, the Pakistani forces were attacked by Fitna al-Kharijites.

“After the recent incidents, our patience has run out. The Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister and other officers have repeatedly visited Kabul and told the Afghan authorities that we want peace and development to prevail in the region”, he noted.

Unfortunately, despite all efforts, Afghanistan did not prioritize peace and adopted the path of aggression.

He said that when the attack took place, the Afghan Foreign Minister was sitting in Delhi. This attack on Pakistan was carried out on the orders of India.

We were forced to take a strong retaliatory action. The Pakistan Army, led by Field Marshal Asim Munir, has given a befitting reply to Afghanistan Taliban. Now the ball is in Afghanistan’s court.

A 48-hour ceasefire was declared at the request of Afghanistan. Friendly countries, especially Qatar, are trying to resolve the issue, he added.

The Prime Minister further added that the ceasefire can be long on concrete conditions, but if it is done for a respite, it will not be allowed.

Pakistan fulfilled its duty in the Gaza ceasefire

Regarding Gaza, the Prime Minister said that some people wanted to do politics on the Gaza issue.

The atrocities committed in Gaza are unprecedented in modern times. The blood of innocent children was being shed in Gaza.

Where were the critics at that time? Put yourself in my place and think. Would you not have saluted the one who stopped the Gaza war?

I thank President Trump and other countries for their important role in the ceasefire in Gaza. Pakistan fulfilled its duty in the Gaza ceasefire.

An agreement was reached in Sharm el-Sheikh, and people in Gaza celebrated.

Shahbaz Sharif said that a Palestinian state should be established, as I have always raised my voice for Palestine and will continue to raise my voice.
