DUBAI (Kashmir English): Pakistan have slipped to the bottom of the World Test Championship (WTC) standings after suffering a heavy defeat against England in the third and final Test.
England defeated Pakistan by eight wickets at Edgbaston after successfully chasing a target of 130 runs for the loss of just two wickets. The victory also gave England a 3-0 series clean sweep.
Australia currently lead the WTC standings, with South Africa in second place. New Zealand are third, followed by India and England in fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
Bangladesh are sixth, Sri Lanka seventh, while the West Indies have moved up to eighth.
Pakistan’s latest defeat has pushed the Green Caps to the bottom of the WTC table, adding to their difficult run in the ongoing Test cycle.
