KARACHI (Kashmir English): The passing out parade of the cadets of the 124th Midshipman and 32nd Short Service Commission Course was held at the Pakistan Naval Academy Karachi.
According to media reports, the chief guest of the ceremony held in Karachi was Rear Admiral Ahmed Muhammad Ibrahim Al Bin Ali, Commander Royal Bahrain Naval Force.
Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf warmly welcomed the chief guest.
The cadets saluted the Chief of the Naval Staff, while Rear Admiral Ahmed Muhammad Ibrahim Al Bin Ali inspected the parade and appreciated the performance of the cadets.
Officer Cadet Umar Mukhtar from Pakistan was awarded the Chief of the Naval Staff Gold Medal, and Officer Cadet Al-Zahbi Fahad Hussam Farid from Iraq was awarded the Chief of the Naval Staff Gold Medal.
Midshipman Shahab Ahmed was awarded the Academy Drak, and Midshipman Muhammad Azir Abbas was awarded the Sword of Honor for overall outstanding performance.
Addressing the parade, the Rear Admiral said that he was proud to graduate from the Pakistan Naval Academy, and the cadets would prove to be beneficial for the country and the nation with their best abilities.
He added that training cadets from other countries is a matter of pride for the Pakistan Naval Academy, and there are strong ties of Islamic brotherhood with Pakistan.
On this occasion, the oath was administered to the graduating cadets.
