Mohsin Naqvi arrives in Iran’s Mashhad for meetings on Iran-US talks

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has arrived in Mashhad on Saturday for an Iran visit to discuss the resumption of direct talks between the US and Iran and other religious obligations, Iran’s state news agency IRNA reports.

Upon his arrival at Shahid Hasheminejad International Airport, Naqvi was welcomed by Khorasan Razavi Governor Gholamhossein Mozaffari.

The state media, citing sources, said Mohsin Naqvi will visit the pilgrimage to the shrine of Munawar Razavi and then will head to Tehran, where he will hold talks with senior Iranian officials over the ongoing US-Iran political talks.

Earlier, IRNA reported that Mohsin Naqvi has departed for Tehran for meetings with senior Iranian officials to discuss the resumption of direct talks between the US and Iran.

ISNA news agency, citing Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei, reported that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is due to hold talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during a visit to Tehran.
