ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Secretary General of the PPP, Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, has demanded that the Chief Election Commissioner AJK take notice of the ‘gift’ of 10 electric buses by Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz to the Azad Kashmir administration.

The Pakistan Peoples’ Party termed the act of the Punjab government giving electric buses featuring Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s photos to Azad Kashmir as a political bribe.

Meeting with AJK Chief Election Commissioner

In a meeting with the AJK Chief Election Commissioner, Bukhari said the PML-N is trying to buy the Azad Kashmir elections by using the tax money of the people of Punjab.

Nayyar Bukhari stated that after the announcement of elections, such an action by any executive is an open violation of election laws.

Maryam Nawaz put her photo on the electric buses purchased with the tax money of the people of Punjab. “Were these buses purchased from the Jati Umra account.”

Central Secretary General of the PPP and former Chairman Senate Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari held an important meeting with the Chief Election Commissioner of Azad Kashmir Justice (R) Ghulam Mustafa Mughal.

He also requested him to issue an NOC for the PPP to run a motivation service in connection with the party manifesto and election campaign in Azad Kashmir.

He appealed to the Chief Election Commissioner to decide early on the appeal filed by the party for obtaining the NOC so that the PPP could continue its activities regarding the election campaign and party manifesto.
