RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): AJK Assembly members Abdul Majid Khan, Chaudhry Akbar Ibrahim, and Chaudhry Akmal Sargala called on President of the Muslim Conference and former PM AJK, Sardar Attique Khan.
The important meeting was held at Mujahid Manzil in Rawalpindi, where participants discussed the latest political situation in Azad Kashmir and matters concerning the rights and welfare of Kashmiri refugees residing in Pakistan
Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Atiq Ahmed Khan said that it was Mujahid-e-Awwal Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan who secured the right of double voting for refugees from General Yahya Khan, emphasizing that Kashmiri refugees sacrificed their homes and families for Pakistan, a country founded on the ideology of “La ilaha illallah.”
He stated that the Muslim Conference has consistently upheld its commitment to protecting refugee rights and resolving their longstanding issues.
The Muslim Conference President noted that refugees living in Pakistan are facing serious hardships, but his party, during its tenure, took substantial steps toward their settlement and welfare.
During separate meetings with other delegations, Sardar Atiq welcomed the success of the Doha talks and the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and Afghanistan, calling it a positive and historic step for regional peace and stability.
