SRINAGAR (Kashmir English): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that the Kashmiris’ steadfastness and the sacrifices of youth are aimed at ending the age-old Indian slavery and securing the right to self-determination.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement in Srinagar, reiterated Kashmiris’ resolve to take the ongoing freedom movement to its logical conclusion at all costs.
“We will never allow anybody to barter the precious blood of martyrs. We are duty-bound to safeguard our martyrs’ sacrifices and must desist from activities that can be detrimental to our movement,” he said.
Brutal acts against Kashmiri people
The APHC said the Indian BJP government’s brutal acts and tactics cannot deter the Kashmiri people from pursuing their mission.
“Even if it macadamizes our roads with gold or silver, we will still not accept its supremacy,” it added. The APHC said that over the past 78 years, Kashmiris have rendered unparalleled sacrifices, with thousands of people detained and brutally tortured, properties worth billions razed to the ground and looted, and sexual assault and rape used as a weapon of war.
Expressing serious concern over the continued illegal detention of Hurriyat leaders and activists, and cordon-and-search operations by Indian forces, the APHC said: “We are receiving reports that youth, and particularly in some areas even young girls, are being summoned by forces’ personnel in the Valley and Jammu region, mostly in Rajouri, Poonch, Doda and Kishtwar. This is extremely humiliating, unbearable and unacceptable.”
Urging people to stand for their just cause and unity, the APHC said supporting Hindutva, RSS, BJP and its allied parties is tantamount to treason against the blood of martyrs.
“Indian authorities are misleading the world community by portraying people’s participation in so-called New Delhi LG’s official programmes as a verdict in their favour. It is a prerequisite to convey a strong message to the world community that we pursue a cherished mission of freedom and in no way justify, defend or favour these sponsored events and rallies,” it added.
