TEHRAN (Kashmir English): Iran Air has confirmed introducing its flight services to Pakistan, with a weekly flight being initiated on the Mashhad-Lahore route.
The airline stated that regular air operations will resume from October 29, re-establishing direct air links between the two cities.
Ambassador Moghadam thanked the Government of Pakistan for its collaboration and extended his felicitations to both peoples, particularly the business community and tourism industry, on this historic achievement.
He was hopeful that the new facility would trigger an influx of Iranian tourists traveling to Pakistan’s picturesque locations and historical sites, further enriching relations between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has hailed the direct flights from Tehran to Islamabad, thanking it as a major initiative to help improve the bilateral ties.
