ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Indian Army has dismissed claims of any drone intrusion from Pakistan into Indian territory, contradicting several Indian media reports that suggested cross-border drone activity.

In a statement, the Army clarified that the border situation remains calm and fully under control, effectively rejecting the narrative pushed by some outlets, including high-profile journalist Barkha Dutt, which alleged drone violations by Pakistan

Meanwhile, Pakistani security officials have also strongly denied the accusations, labelling the Indian media’s reports as “baseless and deceptive.” They insisted that no Pakistani drones had breached the International Border or the Line of Control (LoC).

Indian media is propagating falsehoods. These fabricated claims do nothing but inflame tensions and serve disinformation agendas say security sources.

The officials reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to the ceasefire agreement, highlighting that Islamabad has consistently exercised restraint, even in the face of provocations. “It is Indian surveillance drones that continue to violate the ceasefire along both the LoC and the Working Boundary,” they added.

Earlier, Pakistan had rejected Indian media’s claims about Pakistani drones crossing the border, calling them completely false. State-run PTV News reported, citing security sources, that no Pakistani drone violated Indian airspace or the Line of Control (LoC). Instead, Pakistan accused India of spreading lies and pointed out that it is Indian drones that have been breaching ceasefire rules along the LoC and Working Boundary.

This comes after the two countries’ military officials, Pakistan’s DGMO Major General Kashif Abdullah and India’s Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, held their first ceasefire talks over a hotline on Monday. The discussions followed a tense four-day military conflict where both sides exchanged missile and drone strikes, killing civilians. US President Donald Trump brokered the ceasefire itself.

Pakistan’s Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed the talks and said the next round would happen within 48 hours, calling the current truce “quite standard.”
