ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Meteorological Department has predicted hot and humid weather in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.
However, there is a possibility of strong winds and thundershowers at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain with strong winds and thundershowers is likely at a few places in Dir, Swat, Chitral, Kohistan and Battagram in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the evening and night, while it is likely to be partly cloudy in Murree, Galiyat and its surroundings.
According to the announcement, the weather will remain hot and humid in most districts of Sindh, while in coastal areas including Karachi, it is likely to be partly cloudy and drizzle is likely.
The weather has also been predicted to be hot and humid in most districts of Balochistan, however, in coastal areas it may be partly cloudy.
According to the Meteorological Department, in Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, it is likely to be partly cloudy, and in some places it is likely to be partly cloudy.
During the last 24 hours, the weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country, however, rain with strong winds and thundershowers was recorded in Punjab, Patan and Gilgit-Baltistan. The highest rainfall was recorded in Sargodha at 35 mm while in Lahore at 20 mm.
According to the Meteorological Department, the highest temperature was recorded in Sibi at 43 and in Dadu at 41 degrees Celsius.
