ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Indian media’s false accusations regarding ceasefire violations continue as Pakistan rejected media’s claims of Pakistani drones violating Indian airspace late Monday, state-run PTV News, citing security sources, reported.

According to the sources, Indian media is spreading fabricated and false news about drone violations by Pakistan. “No Pakistani drone crossed the border or the Line of Control,” it reported.

“Indian media reports are a breeding ground for lies, as always, security sources said, adding that Pakistan is fully abiding by the ceasefire.

The sources, as per state-run media, confirmed that in reality, Indian drones are violating the ceasefire along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Director General Military Operations (DGMO) Major General Kashif Abdullah and his Indian counterpart Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai on Monday held the first round of talks via hotline after the recent ceasefire between the two countries in the wake of a military conflict.

Saturday’s ceasefire, announced by US President Donald Trump, followed four days of intense exchanges of fire as the nuclear-armed neighbours targeted each other’s military installations with missiles and drones, killing dozens of civilians.

Confirming the talks to Dawn.com, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said the next round would take place in the next 48 hours. A ceasefire till then, he said, was “quite standard”.
