NEW DELHI (Kashmir English): The Indian army has mocked itself again as a trainer jet crashes into a pond in U.P, Parayagraj, here on Wednesday.

The Indian army has a history of mishaps when it comes to flying aircraft, whether it’s a war or just a normal training drill. According to the initial details, the rescue teams are reaching the site, trying to rescue the pilot.

Local media sources of India reported that two people were on the jet at the time of the crash. As far as the cause of the incident is concerned, the media sources have stated that there was a technical glitch.

The trainee pilot and his instructor were both hurt, but alert local villagers and emergency personnel managed to safely carry the injured persons from the plane that was partially submerged.

The reported aircraft that was in operation at a local aviation academy crashed not far from the Vidya Vahini School, and, according to witnesses, it happened due to a sudden technical failure.

The plane took heavy damage, but the authorities assured that the two pilots in the cabin were stable and receiving medical attention. As soon as the incident occurred, the police, fire brigade, and rescue teams were dispatched to the site to render assistance.

Administrative officials also arrived to oversee the situation, barricading the area and ensuring the safety of the people.

Presently, they are conducting recovery operations to take the damaged fuselage out of the muddy pond. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) initiated a formal investigation to find out the definite cause of the accident. At this point, no one knows the actual reason behind the accident, but the officials are very carefully monitoring the rescue and recovery actions.

The authorities have assured that there will be a thorough investigation to find out the cause and thus avoid similar tragic incidents in the future.

It is unclear if the accident was caused by a technical failure or not, but Indian pilots have repeatedly crashed good aircraft. They even let themselves down on the international stage when India’s Fighter Jet Tejas crashed during the final Dubai Air Show. This again was a similar case of an Indian pilot’s mishap, as their trained pilots keep losing aircraft that are not supposed to be flying.
