ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the nominations for the ‘Player of the Month’ award for August. Sri Lanka’s Sonal Dinusha, England’s Ollie Robinson, and Bangladesh’s Hasan Mahmud have been nominated for the honor.

Sonal Dinusha displayed exceptional batting prowess during the two-Test series against India in August—specifically in the Galle and Colombo Tests—scoring a total of 420 runs across both matches.

Meanwhile, England fast bowler Ollie Robinson played a pivotal role in his team’s consecutive victories during the home Test series against Pakistan.

Robinson delivered a career-best performance in the first Test, claiming 8 wickets for 80 runs, and continued his devastating bowling form in the second Test by taking another 8 wickets for 35 runs.

Bangladesh fast bowler Hasan Mahmud is also in the running for the award, having played a crucial role in a historic Test victory against Australia; in the Test match played in Darwin, he claimed 6 wickets for 55 runs in the first innings and took 3 wickets for 56 runs in the second.
