LAHORE (Kashmir English): Important instructions have been issued for citizens traveling on the motorway; certain lanes on the M-2 South motorway have been temporarily closed due to road repair work.
According to a Motorway Police spokesperson, repair work is underway on the M-2 South near the Khanqah Dogran North-bound section. The Frontier Works Organization (FWO) has initiated patchwork in the affected area, which is likely to impact the flow of traffic.
The spokesperson stated that the second and third lanes of the road have been closed for a stretch of approximately 200 to 250 meters during the repair work. Road construction, phased filling, and other essential repairs are being carried out at the affected site.
The Motorway Police stated that special arrangements have been made at the site to ensure passenger safety and maintain traffic flow. Cones and diversion boards have been installed around the repair zone to alert drivers in advance about the changes in the route.
The Motorway Police have advised citizens to reduce their vehicle speed upon approaching the repair site and to exercise extreme caution while driving, avoiding any overtaking maneuvers.
Authorities have appealed to travelers to adhere to traffic signs and instructions from police personnel while traveling on the motorway to avoid any untoward incidents.
