Kamran Khan serving as Hattian Bala’s Assistant Commissioner and Shabbir Awan serving as District Traffic Incharge joined him in conducting a traffic violation and illegal parking inspection of Hattian Bala Bazaar.
Officials seized abnormal motorcycle placements along with rickshaws and taxis which received transfer through Hattian police station. Officials took this step following numerous warnings that proved useless to both drivers and shopkeepers.
As per local media reports, Assistant Commissioner Kamran Khan showed his disappointment about trader and transporter non-cooperation even after issuing multiple warnings.
The official made it clear to the marketplace population not to unnecessarily leave their vehicles parked because this creates traffic disruptions that bother people in public areas. Every shop should follow the rule of keeping footpaths open and goods within store boundaries to maintain smooth pedestrian access.
He said they took the serious measure of seizing illegally parked vehicles because warnings already given had no effect. The official announced further legal repercussions against people who did not follow traffic and marketplace rules.
Bazaar traffic authorities will enforce strict measures for shopping season management when Ramadan arrives to handle higher sales numbers. The Assistant Commissioner declared his dedication to implementing all required steps for uninterrupted traffic during Ramadan.
Hattian Bala Bazaar’s wrong parking issue
Multiple problems occur from improper parking in Hattian Bala, AJK that both create safety risks for the population and disrupt daily operations. Irregularly parked vehicles together with double-parked vehicles create traffic congestion which causes traffic delays and extensive traffic jams.
Wrong parking of cars on footpaths as well as road edges makes pedestrians walk on roads increasing their chance of getting into accidents. Emergency responders who depend on unfettered access get delayed in their response times when wrong parking obstructs their vehicles such as ambulances, fire trucks and police cars thus compromising public safety.
Wanting to avoid heavy penalties authorities enforce substantial fines against people who illegally park their vehicles. Following traffic regulations together with parking in authorized zones represent vital means to avoid these problems.
