KARACHI (Kashmir English): Five terrorists were killed following an attack on the Rangers Headquater in Karachi on Saturday evening, according to intelligence sources.
The terrorists attacked the Rangers facilities at about 8:10 pm, when they first blew up an explosive material followed by an attempt to storm a Rangers transport facility that falls under the jurisdiction of Sector Headquarters Bhittai Rangers, as per the sources.
The incident was followed by the entry of three-four terrorists into the premises, resulting in a shootout between Rangers forces on duty at the premises and the terrorists.
Officials have claimed that the Rangers forces acted swiftly against the terrorists attack and managed to thwart their plans.
Rangers Counter Terrorism Wing arrived at the spot and joined hands in the anti-terrorist operation, while the security in the nearby areas was also tightened.
