While the FIFA World Cup runner-up team, Argentina, received prize money of $33 million.
In addition, the third-placed team, England, received $29 million, and the fourth-placed team, France, received $27 million.
According to the announcement, a total prize money of $655 million was distributed in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
A total prize money of $440 million was distributed in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The winner of the previous edition was given a prize of $42 million.

Newly crowned FIFA World Cup 2026 champions Spain completed a memorable tournament by collecting major individual awards and setting several historic records.

France’s star player made history by winning the World Cup Golden Boot trophy for the second time after he lifted the Golden Boot award in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Lionel Messi, the captain of Argentina, ended up being the second-highest goal scorer in the tournament with a total of eight goals scored.
The World Cup victory by Spain has also put the country in an unprecedented position in the football world, since it became the first nation to hold the World Cup titles for both the women’s and the men’s categories of football simultaneously after lifting the trophy for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Spain has made history as they are the first team in history to lift the World Cup trophy without conceding more than one goal in the entire competition.
The Spanish team did not allow any opposition to score first against them in the entire World Cup campaign.
