SARGODHA (Kashmir English): A case has been registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former spokesperson Naeem Haider Panjutha in Sargodha on the complaint of a Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO).
According to FESCO, SDO Atif Zia submitted a complaint alleging that electricity was being stolen through Panjutha’s electricity meter. Following the complaint, the relevant authorities took legal action and registered a case against the PTI leader.
FESCO officials said the alleged electricity theft was identified during an inspection of the meter. The department subsequently initiated proceedings in accordance with the law.
The case comes as power distribution companies across the country continue operations against electricity theft and unauthorized connections, with authorities taking legal action against consumers accused of violating electricity laws.
Naeem Haider Panjutha has not issued a public response to the allegations. The allegations remain subject to legal proceedings and any defence presented by the accused.
