ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Islamabad district administration on Wednesday imposed a complete, immediate ban on shisha cafes in the federal capital following the Islamabad High Court (IHC) orders to formulate rules and regulations for shisha cafes.
In a post on X, Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon said that a complete ban has been imposed until further notice under the orders of the IHC.
“Under the ban, all types of shisha cafes, outdoor and indoor, with NOC, have been barred from operating the shisha business,” he wrote.
Memon warned that in case of a violation, a case will be registered against the owner and the cafe will be sealed. “Assistant Commissioners will ensure inspections on a daily basis by conducting operations without discrimination,” he added.
