KAHUTA, Azad Kashmir (Kashmir English): The grid station project in Haveli Kahuta is in limbo, as public faces severe difficulties due to frequent power outages in the area.
General public have expressed regret over the lack of interest from the Azad Kashmir government, which, they said, affected businesses severely.
The grid station project, under consideration for several years now, in District Haveli Kahuta is facing delays in completion due to lack of interest by the government.
Despite promises and announcements from the Azad Kashmir government, practical work on this project has not yet begun, leading to severe disappointment among the public.
The people of the area said that due to the absence of a grid station, electricity remains suspended for many hours daily, which not only affects domestic life but also brought businesses to a standstill.
Photostat, computer services, welding, mobile repair, and other electricity-dependent businesses are completely affected. Students are also facing severe difficulties in their education due to power outages.

The local population said that the people of the area have repeatedly submitted applications to the authorities, but no significant action has been taken so far.
Public representatives have demanded that the constituency minister, Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, pays special attention to this important public issue and take immediate steps for early completion of the grid station.
They said if timely measures are not taken, the problems of power outages will become even more severe in the upcoming winter season.
The people of the area have demanded from the Azad Kashmir government that the long-standing demand of the people of Haveli Kahuta be taken seriously and funds for the construction of the grid station be released immediately.
