AJK Food Authority takes action against compnay selling adulterated snacks

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Food Authority has taken strict action against Pak Kashmir Foods, a famous papad company, for selling unhealthy products.

The company’s products, including Meethi Khushi Nimko, Chipser Spicy, Ho Ho Snacks, Goli Fit, Chatpatti and Chatpatti Ringi were found to be unsatisfactory in laboratory analysis. The company has been fined Rs 0.3 million and banned from selling these products throughout Azad Kashmir.

The Food Safety Officer has been directed to investigate all products of the company and submit a report.

The Quetta Karachi Cafe in Muzaffarabad was also sealed for adulterating milk powder, and disciplinary action is being taken against its owners.

The Secretary of Food, Azad Kashmir, has vowed to continue operations to ensure quality food for the public. “No leniency will be shown in taking action against those found selling adulterated or unhealthy food products,” he said.
