MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Tuesday rejected reports circulating on social media about the postponement of elections in a few constituencies of Poonch division.
In a statement, the Election Commission spokesperson confirmed that polling in all constituencies will be held on August 10 according to the schedule already issued.
The spokesperson added that reports circulating about a possible postponement of the elections were “baseless and contrary to the facts”.
The spokesperson urged voters not to pay attention to rumours and misinformation and to exercise their right to vote on August 10 as scheduled.
“In case of any schedule change, the Election Commission will inform you in a timely manner,” the spokesperson said.
