KALAT, Pakistan (Kashmir English): Unknown armed men abducted four labourers, including Azad Kashmir residents, working for a construction company in Kalat district of Balochistan province.

According to details, unknown armed individuals blocked the Quetta-Karachi Highway near Bincha Pangu, 30 kilometers from Kalat, and abducted the labourers.

According to Levies, more than 10 armed individuals on motorcycles abducted four labourers from the camp, who are reportedly from Azad Kashmir, and Mansehra district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

The said construction company works on the expansion project of the Quetta-Karachi Highway. It is worth noting that incidents of abduction of construction company labourers have occurred in Kalat before.

Last year in October, several individuals were abducted from the Mangchar area of Kalat, among whom a labourer named Qaiser, belonging to the Khawra constituency of Azad Kashmir, was murdered.

It is also worth noting that the labourer who was killed last year in October was an employee of PPP leader Mukhtar Abbasi’s company, but it has not yet been clarified which company the labourers abducted now work for and where in Azad Kashmir they belong to.

Earlier, on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, unknown armed individuals abducted three local labourers working at a coal depot in the Mach area of Kacchi district.

According to Mach police, the abductors also left a slip threatening serious consequences if two coal companies did not stop working, on behalf of a banned organization.
