LEEPA VALLEY/HAVELI (Kashmir English): Two volleyball night tournaments, organized by the Pakistan Army, have kicked off in the Haveli Kahuta and Leep Valley Districts of Azad Kashmir on Monday, offering thrilling competition for spectators.
According to the details, a volleyball night tournament has started at the Government High School Kahuta Ground, in which 12 teams from across the district are participating. The grand event will continue till March 20 featuring 6 teams, each have been divided into 2 pools.
Major Kamran, Chairman Town Committee Sheikh Muhammad Arif, President of the Traders Association Waheed Chauhan, Khalid Advocate of the Bar Council, AEO Hameed Bukhari specially attended the opening ceremony of the event.
Citizens appreciated the effort of the Pakistan Army and said that such tournaments not only increase the passion for sports among the youth but also promote healthy activities.
The organizers have made excellent arrangements for the successful organization of the tournament, which includes a ground sparkling with lights and special facilities for the fans.
The President of the Traders Association said that organizing such a tournament will provide a healthy environment in the area. He wants to ask the participating teams to present a positive and good game.
Meanwhile, in the Leepa Valley, a volleyball night tournament has been organized by the Pakistan Army at the Domail Stadium Hochri Ground, in which different teams from across the valley are participating.
The thrilling tournament will continue from March 17 to March 23, in which the fans will get to see interesting and tough matches.
Even on cold nights, fans are flocking to the ground in large numbers and supporting their favorite teams. Organizing this event is not only giving the youth an opportunity to participate in positive activities but is also promoting sports in the area.
