MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has said that there is no place for an anti-Pakistan agenda, directing that force should be used only against mischievous elements amid the prevailing situation in the region.
He was addressing a high-level meeting held to review law and order in the state today, which was attended by government ministers Rafique Nayyar, Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi, and Chaudhry Qasim Majeed, according to the press release issued by DGPR AJK.
Chief Secretary Khushal Khan, IGP AJK Liaqat Ali, Principal Secretary Zafar Mahmood Khan, DIGs, SSPs, and Commissioner Muzaffarabad Badar Munir were also present in the meeting.
The meeting discussed issues related to maintaining peace and order in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, protecting the lives and property of the people, and ensuring the security of government properties.
During the meeting, the Inspector General of Police briefed the Prime Minister about the law and order situation in the state.
While talking on the occasion, the premier said the stubbornness, ego, and unwisdom of some elements have brought the situation to this point.
“Force should be used only against miscreants. Common citizens have nothing to do with the current situation,” Faisal Mumtaz Rathore added.
He stated that no one in the state can be allowed to work against the basic ideology of Pakistan and the unanimous ideology of Kashmiris for accession to Pakistan. “There is no room for an anti-Pakistan agenda in the state.”
“Such elements have no place in Azad Jammu and Kashmir,” the AJK Prime Minister said, while referring to the members of the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC).
“Pakistan Army is the protector of Kashmiris and is there to protect us,” Rathore concluded.
