GILGIT (Kashmir English): Pakistan Peoples’ Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Member National Assembly Aseefa Bhutto Zardari will visit various districts in Gilgit-Baltistan in connection with the election campaign.
A total of eight election rallies have been planned. According to the schedule released for the election rallies, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will address an election rally in Shigar on May 31, while on June 1, he will address a public gathering in Khaplu.
Bilawal’s Gilgit-Baltistan schedule
On June 2, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s rally will be held in Skardu, while on June 3, he will continue his election campaign in Diamer.
On the same day, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari will address an election rally in Hunza. On June 4, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will hold a rally in Ghizer, while Aseefa Bhutto Zardari will address a public gathering in Nagar.
In the final phase of the election campaign, a large election rally of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be held in Gilgit on June 5.
It is to be noted that polling for 24 seats of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly will be held on June 7, for which 403 candidates are in the field.
Candidates supported by the Peoples Party, Muslim League (N), Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party, MWM, Islami Tehreek, and PTI are participating in the election.
Apart from the Peoples Party, the leadership of Muslim League (N) is also likely to visit Gilgit-Baltistan, but the schedule has not yet been released.
Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Amir Muqam and Captain Safdar have already visited the region.
According to sources, PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif will also address rallies after June 1.
No party has yet announced its manifesto for the Gilgit-Baltistan elections, while only a few days are left for polling.
