ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): DAAD has released the application process for the Helmut-Schmidt-Program (Master Scholarships for Public Policy and Good Governance – PPGG).

It offers fully funded scholarships for international students seeking to study master’s degrees in Germany.

It offers scholarships to graduates from the fields of social and political sciences, law, economics, public policy, and public administration, who intend to improve governance in their home countries.

The scholarship has been established under the funding of the German Federal Foreign Office to train future global public administrators and good governance specialists.

The scholars have the option to enroll in any of the seven master’s programs in some of the top universities of Germany. The selected programs include master’s in public policy, development studies, peace and conflict studies, and nonprofit management.

The scholarship provides a very unique opportunity for the selected scholars since its focus is on good governance, leadership training, and international networks.

Academic researchers also need some organized help, which can come in the form of language classes to learn German and career development prospects.

The last date to apply for the 2026 intake will be on 31 July 2026. Candidates who wish to apply should do so via the official DAAD scholarship website.
