ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): South Air has announced the launch of flight operations from Karachi to Gwadar, Turbat, and Quetta in a move aimed at improving air connectivity to Balochistan.

According to details, the airline will conduct its first proving flight on May 25, 2026, on the Karachi-Gwadar-Karachi route, marking an important milestone ahead of the start of regular commercial services.

The airline’s initial network will include flights between Karachi and the cities of Gwadar, Turbat, and Quetta.

Officials said the company has imported nearly two ATR aircraft on wet lease from abroad to support the new operations.

Regular flight services are expected to begin during the first week of June 2026.

The development is being viewed as a positive step toward strengthening domestic air travel and enhancing connectivity between Karachi and key cities of Balochistan.

Fly Jinnah announces Quetta to Lahore flights

Earlier in April this year, Fly Jinnah announced new domestic flight connections between Quetta and Karachi.

In its announcement, the airline said that it will operate three weekly flights which connect Quetta with Lahore on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from May 13.

According to the schedule, flight 9P855 will depart Quetta at 2:30 pm and arrive in Lahore at 3:50 pm after flying for one hour and 20 minutes.

The return service flight 9P856 will take off from Lahore at 4:40 pm and reach Quetta at 6:10 pm after flying for one hour and 30 minutes. Airbus A320 aircraft will serve as the operating aircraft for the route.

The new service will offer passengers additional travel choices, which will create better links between the two cities.
