ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan has announced 500 scholarships for students from Bangladesh over the next five years under the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor initiative aimed at promoting educational cooperation and strengthening bilateral ties.
According to a statement issued by the spokesperson for Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar had announced the launch of the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor during his visit to Bangladesh in August 2025.
The Foreign Office said the second phase of the initiative was launched in Dhaka on May 10, 2026, as part of efforts to expand educational and academic engagement between the two countries.
According to the statement, a delegation from Bangladesh is currently visiting Pakistan for a three-week program under the Knowledge Corridor initiative.
The Foreign Office further stated that Ishaq Dar expressed satisfaction over the positive momentum in bilateral relations and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing cooperation in education and people-to-people exchanges.
