DHAKA (Kashmir English): Bangladesh has set Pakistan a target of 268 runs to win on the final day of the Dhaka Test after declaring their second innings at 240 for 9.

Resuming the fifth day at 152 for 3, Bangladesh added valuable runs through captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mominul Haque. Shanto top-scored with 87 runs, while Mominul contributed 56.

Bangladesh suffered an early setback on the final morning when Mushfiqur Rahim was dismissed by Hasan Ali for 22 runs with the score at 164.

Later, Liton Das was removed by Shaheen Shah Afridi for 11 runs as Bangladesh lost their fifth wicket at 190.

For Pakistan, spinner Nouman Ali and pacer Hasan Ali claimed three wickets each, while Shaheen Afridi picked up two wickets.

Pakistan now requires 268 runs in a minimum of 75 overs to secure victory in the Test match at Dhaka.
