DHAKA (Kashmir English): National cricket team fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi became the first Pakistani cricketer to complete 100 wickets in the World Test Championship after dismissing opener Mahmudul Hasan.

In the first match of the ongoing 2-Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh, the left-arm fast bowler took 3 wickets during Bangladesh’s first innings.

He crossed this milestone in just 28 matches. He is followed by Nouman Ali, who has taken 89 wickets in 20 matches.

The record for the most wickets in the World Test Championship is held by Australian bowler Nathan Lyon, who took 224 wickets in 55 matches.

In second place is Pat Cummins, who has 222 wickets in 54 matches, while Mitchell Starc is in third place with 221 wickets in 52 matches.
