Iran thanks PM Shehbaz, FM Asim Munir for peace initiative

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Iran has thanked Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their ‘tireless’ efforts and good office initiative to end the war and bring lasting peace to the region.

In a post on X on Sunday, Reza Amiri Moghadam, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, expressed his ‘sincere gratitude to the army staffs, security forces, police, employees of all executive institutions and especially the honorable people of Pakistan and Islamabad residents, for their patience, hospitality and cooperative synergy’ during the visit of Iranian delegation to Islamabad.

“At the end of This round of the visit of the Iranian delegation, H.E. Syyed Abbas Araghchi, Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs to Pakistan at the onset of the regional diplomatic tour, which was carried out with the aim of reviewing bilateral relations and consulting on the issue of regional developments, I would like to express my sincere and wholehearted gratitude and appreciation to the government, army and people of Pakistan, especially H.E. Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, for their tireless efforts and good office initiative to end the war and bring lasting peace to the region.”

He further said that like the previous round, this round was held in complete security, safety and tranquility for the delegation achieved with the competent and perfect management, thoughtful planning and successful implementation by the brotherly, friendly and neighboring country of Pakistan. He concluded with a slogan: “Iran-Pakistan Friendship Zindabad”.
