ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The OpenAI organization has introduced its most recent primary AI model GPT-5.5, which delivers accelerated logical reasoning and enhanced programming abilities, and improved capacity to execute complex procedures that require multiple applications and tools.
The company says GPT-5.5 is designed to understand user intent more quickly and take on more work independently. The model can perform all tasks, which include planning, tool usage, and result checking and progress continuation through foggy and tricky task demands without needing detailed task directions.
OpenAI says the new release is especially strong in software engineering, office work, scientific research, and computer automation. GPT-5.5 is currently available to Plus Pro Business and Enterprise users through ChatGPT and Codex platforms.
The Pro version of GPT-5.5, which has advanced capabilities, will be available to Pro, Business, and Enterprise customers. OpenAI says API access is coming soon. GPT-5.5 development focuses on coding as its main area of research.
The OpenAI system demonstrates improved performance compared to GPT-5.4 because it requires fewer tokens during operation, which results in decreased computing expenses and less need for system restarts.
The Terminal-Bench 2.0 benchmark system, which tests advanced command-line operations, showed GPT-5.5 achieved an 82.7% score while GPT-5.4 attained a 75.1% score.
The Expert-SWE exam from OpenAI, which assesses lengthy engineering assignments, showed GPT-5.5 reaching 73.1% while GPT-5.4 scored 68.5%.
