ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Life in Islamabad has resumed the normal routine after the US-Iran peace talks came to an end in Islamabad yesterday. Businesses and markets are now fully open and operational across Islamabad.

Irfan Nawaz Memon, who serves as Deputy Commissioner, announced that all commercial centres in Islamabad except those on Expressway traffic plan routes now have permission to start business operations.
He confirmed that shops and markets across the city can resume normal business operations without any restrictions. The deputy commissioner explained that commercial businesses had to shut down because foreign diplomats were visiting the city.
The restriction has been lifted because the situation has reached a stable point, which enables all economic operations to proceed normally. The officials confirmed that essential routes still have operational restrictions, which focus especially on Expressway areas where security measures control both vehicle traffic and pedestrian movement.
The district administration and law enforcement agencies maintain ongoing monitoring activities to guarantee complete control over the situation. Traders and citizens have reacted positively to the decision because it has reduced problems that arose from the previous business shutdowns.
Shopkeepers showed optimism that their upcoming business activities would enable them to recover their financial losses while establishing stable operations.

Traffic Diversion Plan for Today

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced Traffic Diversions on Major Roads in Islamabad on April 13 due to the movement of foreign delegations in the federal capital.

The authorities issued a complete traffic advisory, which will assist in controlling traffic jams while maintaining proper vehicle movement throughout the main routes.

Officials report that the traffic diversions, which will start on major roads in Islamabad on April 13, will impact multiple key roads, which include Srinagar Highway, Club Road, Murree Road, and Islamabad Expressway.

The authorities will execute these roadway diversions from morning through nighttime hours according to security requirements and movement plans. The traffic authorities confirmed that vehicular movement on these routes may remain partially or fully affected during delegation transfers.

Authorities recommend that commuters using affected corridors should prepare their routes before traveling, while they should use alternative roads whenever they can, and they need to add extra travel time to prevent delays.

The Islamabad Traffic Police requested citizens to assist on-duty personnel by following their instructions, which will help in maintaining safe traffic control during the diversion plan.

The officials confirmed that they implemented all required procedures to reduce public disturbance. Residents can access real-time updates about the April 13 traffic diversions, which will impact major roads in Islamabad through Islamabad Traffic Police official social media channels and FM 92.4, which broadcasts live traffic updates.
