QUETTA (Kashmir English): Pakistan armed forces on Wednesday continued attacks along Pak-Afghan border in Balochistan to target Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan (TTA) posts.
According to security sources, on the night between March 4/5, Pakistani forces launched debilitating punishment along the Pak-Afghan border in Balochistan.
Pakistan armed forces especially targeted TTA posts which act as sanctuaries and jump off points of BLA / Fitna ul Hindustan.
As part of this operation, a widespread punitive action is being undertaken. Over 55 locations associated with FAH and TTA are being engaged through a comprehensive range of weapon systems, including direct and indirect firing weapons; heavy weapons, including Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGMs), rocket launchers and long-range mortars, light and heavy artillery, main battle tanks; swarm drones for coordinated effects in coordination with foot soldiers attacking few selected locations.
TTA posts, identified as facilitators of FAH, are being engaged in the Warsala Sub Sec. The operation continues in Zhob (Sambaza and Ghudwana Sectors including Bilal post); Qila Saifullah, Pishin Sec(Kalegai, Bayanzai & Rahim Thanas); Loe Band Sec (Kochi, Rahim,Ala Jirga, Tor Kach & Tarwakai Thanas); Badini Sec (Thand, Jumma Khan & Zanjeer Thanas) and OGG Sec (Khar, Spingai, Surzangal & Younas Thanas); Chiltan Ranges, Shishka sec, Khara sec and Riaz Sec(Pasta & Saratashan Thana); Naushki, Hameed Qilla, Sanaullah Agha, Shina Khel, Ani, Jani, Tirkashi, Zulmi, Sawali, Ghazali Qilla and Otaq sectors.
Decisive blow to Afghan terrorist elements
This response is a calculated and dis-proportionate measure, aimed at delivering a decisive blow to the perpetrators, abettors, and facilitators of terrorism, according to security sources.
The operations will continue until the objectives of neutralizing threats and restoring deterrence are fully achieved as Pakistan’s resolve to defend its sovereignty and protect its citizens remains unwavering.
