TEHRAN (Kashmir English): International news agency, Reuters, has strongly denied reports circulating on social media and from unconfirmed sources claiming the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
According to Reuters, the agency has not issued any such news, and the screenshots and reports circulating on the internet are fake and fabricated, deliberately attributed to the agency.
Reports claimed that Iranian leadership was targeted in attacks by Israel and the United States during ‘Operation True Promise 4’.
However, after clarifications from Reuters and other international media organizations, the truth behind these rumors has become clear.
According to experts, in the current tense situation, such unconfirmed reports spread rapidly, causing public concern and uncertainty.
Diplomatic sources said that such news could also be part of the ongoing psychological warfare in the Middle East, aimed at creating anxiety and distrust within rival countries.
They further said that the dissemination of misinformation in sensitive situations can affect regional stability.
Reuters and other international news agencies emphasized the importance of journalistic principles on this occasion, stating that any major or sensitive news should not be accepted without verification from authentic and official sources.
Iran also rejects claims as enemy propaganda
Meanwhile, according to reports from Tehran, the Iranian government has also rejected these claims as enemy propaganda, while state media continues its regular broadcasts.
