Kotli Police launches flag march to ensure law and order in region

KOTLI (Kashmir English): A grand flag march was organised by the police to strengthen further the security of the green areas and the law and order situation.

Along with the Kotli police forces, vehicles of other security agencies and civilian departments also participated in the march, which aimed to instill confidence and satisfaction among the public.

The flag march started from the court premises, which passed through various important highways and areas, and reached the central places of the city.

The march passed through Gulhar, Colony, and Bypass Road, Lari Adda, Shaheed Chowk, and Abashar Chowk and finally ended at the SP office.

The march was jointly led by Deputy Commissioner Kotli Major (R) Nasir Rafique and the Superintendent of Police. On this occasion, both officers said that the flag march aims to convince the citizens that the law enforcement agencies are alert and fully prepared to deal with any untoward incident.

He further said that maintaining law and order is the top priority, and the police and district administration are always active in this regard.

The public was also urged to realize their responsibility and cooperate fully with the law enforcement agencies so that Kotli district can be made peaceful and safe.

During the flag march, a large number of citizens stood on the roadside and appreciated this initiative of the police and administration.
