CHAKKAR, AJK (Kashmir English): Sardar Javed Khan, a prominent trader leader from Chakkar, has said that the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) wants to disturb the atmosphere of peace and brotherhood by promoting abusive language and hooliganism.

“It is regrettable that young people are incited to chant indecent anti-state slogans. Grouping will worsen the situation.”

He said the Chakkar business community rejected the narrative of the Joint Awami Action Committee by not participating in the Public Action Committee’s corner meeting.

Business to continue despite JAAC call

Sardar Javed Khan said that the Chakkar business community will continue its business activities as usual on September 29.

He said the business community is fed up with daily strikes and shutdowns. “Whoever is fond of politics should do politics from their political platform instead of using traders’ shoulders.”

He said that attempts are being made to play with the future of youth by misguiding them. “We will not allow the peace of Chakkar to be disturbed. Traders should be allowed to do business.”

The trader leader said that it is the responsibility of public representatives to solve public problems, and hoped they will solve them.

He said the trading community is being dragged into politics in the name of the Action Committee for the fulfillment of their nefarious objectives. “I tell the youth not to become part of anti-state activities by being misled by mischievous elements.”

He said if any of youth are harmed in the ongoing negative activities of the Action Committee, it will be responsible.
