MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Authorities have announced a series of measures against individuals associated with or facilitating the activities of the banned Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (JAAC), both within the country and abroad.

According to official sources, action is being considered against individuals identified as facilitators of the organisation.

The proposed measures include the blocking of passports and Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) of certain individuals linked to the group.

Sources said that the names of committee members and key figures associated with the banned organisation are also expected to be placed on the Exit Control List (ECL), restricting their ability to travel abroad.

In addition, authorities are reportedly seeking details of the properties, assets, and financial holdings of the organisation’s leadership as part of a broader investigation.
