Previous petrol price revision
In the previous fortnight revision on August 31, the government had also kept the petrol price unchanged and reduced the High-Speed Diesel (HSD).
According to the notification, the government cut diesel by Rs. 3 per liter on September 1, with the new price being Rs 269.99/liter.
The most recent adjustment follows increased crude prices after Ukrainian drone attacks on Russia’s Primorsk port, one of the major Baltic Sea ports, disrupted exports.
