MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Mirpur City police took action against illegal arms and nabbed two persons here on Monday.
DSP City Chaudhry Ansar Ali supervised the action on the directions of SSP Mirpur Khurram Iqbal regarding crime prevention.
Raja Amir Farooq, SHO, along with staff were on a patrol near Kharak Dyke on Bun Road when they stopped a white car bearing registration number HT-010 (Islamabad).
During the search, they recovered one Kalashnikov with a magazine and five rounds from suspects Khurram Parwez son of Sardar Ali, Jutt by caste, resident of Thikrian, Chakswari, and Muhammad Aaqib son of Muhammad Fazil, Sheikh by caste, resident of Aara Jattan, Dadyal.
A case has been registered and the suspects were taken into custody for interrogation.
