AJK govt to offer 7000 jobs in education department: Minister Zafar Iqbal

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Minister for Higher Education Azad Kashmir, Zafar Iqbal Malik, has said that the government will make 7,000 jobs operational in the education department soon.

He was addressing the ceremony related to the laying of the foundation stone of the Additional Admin Block of the Girls’ Hostel of Government Fatima Jinnah Post Graduate College for Women in Muzaffarabad.

While talking at the gathering, the minister said that currently, more than 7,000 journal and non-journal posts are vacant in both the departments of colleges and schools.

“Test interviews are being held for half of the vacancies in colleges, and most of the needs of the staff of the colleges will be met soon,” he stated.

In addition to that, the Minister appreciated the Supreme Court for issuing directions, which will enable the government to meet the needs of the staff of educational institutions across the state.

Malik further announced that the government will provide a comprehensive education package to meet the needs of all educational institutions in Azad Kashmir without any discrimination.

The package is expected to be implemented by the middle of next month, he stated.

He maintained that the construction of the administrative block of the Girls Postgraduate College, Muzaffarabad, will be completed within five months.

Minister Zafar Iqbal Malik said that our government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, has so far fulfilled the needs of staff and other equipment of educational institutions, especially inter and degree colleges.

“Test interviews are being held for half of the vacancies in colleges, and most of the staff needs will be met soon.”

While praising the performance and good results of the college, he also assured them of providing other necessary facilities and assured them of implementing the suggestions of the principal.
