ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): In the wake of the recent flood situation, the government of Pakistan has postponed the PM Youth Laptop Scheme, which aims to provide 100,000 free laptops to deserving students across the country.

According to the officials from Prime Minister Youth Programme (PMYP), the laptop handout event, which was scheduled to kick off in July 2025, has been suspended so that relief efforts in the flood-hit regions like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK)can be accommodated.

The distribution of the youth laptops has been postponed by 2 weeks as a result of university shutdowns across the country.

The new date will be announced soon so that eligible students can be given their laptops as part of the government program aimed at enhancing digital literacy among young people.

The floods have resulted in massive devastation, affecting thousands of individuals and interrupting basic services. As the situation in KPK, GB, and AJK keeps evolving, the team of the PM Youth scheme will announce the schedule of the distribution of laptops to ensure that entitled students get their laptops as quickly as possible.

The new timeline for the PM Youth Laptop Scheme will be communicated once the situation in KPK, GB, and AJK becomes stable. Students are requested to remain updated through official sources to get their designated laptops.
