JHELUM VALLEY (Kashmir English): The Jhelum Valley district administration has prohibited distributors of medicine companies from supplying medicines within the district limits without a valid license and No Objection Certificate (NOC).

In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner of Jhelum Valley, Banish Jaral, has issued a circular, ensuring the safety and quality of medicines in the district.

In a recent directive, Jaral said that distributors are now required to obtain an NOC from the office of the Drug Inspector, District Jhelum Valley, before entering the district or distributing medicines.

In a circular, the Deputy Commissioner’s office said that it has observed that some distributors were supplying medicines without proper licenses or permits, raising concerns about the potential risks to public health and safety.

The decision aims to prevent the distribution of unregistered and harmful medicines in the district, the circular reads.

It further added that action will be taken against the distributors for not complying with the directive.
