JAMMU (Kashmir English): The chain hunger strike for the restoration of Kashmir statehood launched by the Congress party entered its third day in Jammu on Wednesday.
According to Kashmir Media Service, all prominent leaders of the Congress joined the hunger strike.
Speaking to the gathering, senior leader Raman Bhalla said that “Congress party is fighting for the rights of people to restore their dignity, status and identity which was snatched by the BJP government arbitrarily and unconstitutionally on August 5, 2019 and has not been restored after more than six years despite repeated promises on the floor of the house and before the Supreme Court.”
He said that Congress shall continue its struggle to achieve and safeguard the rights of the future generation with regard to land, jobs and natural resources.
Lal Singh accused BJP of depriving the people of the Dogra identity and insulting the Dogras.

He said that the land, jobs and natural resources are being sold out and for six years they are befooling the people of Kashmir.
He asked the people to join the struggle for restoring their dignity, identity status and rights.
