MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Chief Justice of the Azad Kashmir High Court, Justice Sardar Liaquat Hussain, has directed action against police officers for poor investigation of cases and against those who file false FIRs.
According to details, Inspector General of Police Azad Kashmir held an important meeting with Chief Justice of the Azad Kashmir High Court, Sardar Liaquat Hussain, in his chamber on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the Chief Justice and the Inspector General of Police agreed on measures for the timely availability/presence of witnesses and concerned parties in cases pending in the lower courts of Azad Kashmir, as well as holding monthly police-judiciary coordination meetings to resolve these cases.
According to the Azad Kashmir Police Facebook page, during the meeting, it was also agreed to improve the quality of investigation in serious cases, especially murder cases.
On this occasion, the Chief Justice directed strict disciplinary action against investigation officers who hold poor investigation, and strict legal action under current law against individuals who file false FIRs, in order to discourage such individuals and reduce the registration of unnecessary cases.
The Inspector General of Police assured the Chief Justice of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir High Court of full cooperation from the police department for the timely disposal of pending cases.
