ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MoIB) on Monday confirmed that Islamabad carried out “calibrated” air strikes against militants’ hideouts of terrorists in the border region with Afghanistan, killing 28 terrorists alongside multiple suicide bombers.
In a statement issued on X, the ministry alleged that the air strikes were conducted against the “hideouts and safe havens of terrorist organisations” responsible for the multiple terror incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It added that security forces also conducted intelligence-based ground operations against a group of terrorists in Kohat and Hangu districts on September 20.
“As a result of precise and skillful engagement, 9 Khwarij belonging to Indian proxy Fitna Al Khwarij were sent to hell, while several were injured,” the ministry stated.

The statement further said that “selective targeting of terrorist camps and hideouts” belonging to Fitna al Khwarij and its affiliates has also been carried out in Afghanistan with precision and accuracy.
“Three targets were destroyed with precision, including a suicide bombers’ training markaz, killing 28 terrorists alongside multiple suicide bombers. Large quantities of weapons and ammunition stored at these Marakiz and hideouts were also destroyed.”
The ministry said that Pakistan has always strived for the maintenance of peace and stability in the region.
“However, the safety and security of our citizens remains our foremost priority. It is a matter of grave concern that Afghanistan continues to remain a hub of terrorism.”
“Threat to Pakistan emanates from Afghanistan,” it stresses, adding that “our action precisely targeted the terrorist hubs. Maximum precautions were taken, and it was ensured that no collateral damage occurred.”
