LAHORE (Kashmir English): The official schedule for the series has been released after Zimbabwe joined the tri-nation series following Afghanistan’s withdrawal.
The Zimbabwe Cricket Board has accepted the invitation of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and confirmed its participation in the tri-nation T20 series to be held in Pakistan, in which the Sri Lankan team will also participate.
The series will be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore from November 17 to 29.
This will be the first tri-nation T20 series to be held on Pakistani soil, which aims to provide practical experience to the three teams in preparation for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup to be held in India and Sri Lanka next year.
The series will begin with a match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on November 17, while the second match will be played between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe at the same venue on November 19.
After these initial two matches, the remaining five matches of the series will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where the final will also be played on November 29.

Earlier, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) had officially announced its withdrawal from the tri-nation T20 event, saying that in the current circumstances, it would not participate.
Due to the recent tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan, the Afghan Cricket Board has canceled matches with Pakistan.
