ZIARAT (Kashmir English): The clearance operation launched by security forces against militants in Balochistan’s Ziarat district has been completed, with 15 militants killed, according to Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind.
In a statement, Rind said the militants had paid a heavy price for attempting to disrupt peace in Balochistan, adding that the state was responding with full force to every act of terrorism.
He said security forces, the Balochistan Police and other law enforcement agencies had successfully thwarted the militants’ designs, emphasizing that there was no haven for terrorists in Balochistan.
The spokesperson stated that intelligence-based operations would continue with greater intensity to eliminate militant networks and maintain peace across the province.
Rind further said that elements challenging the writ of the state would be dealt with decisively, adding that the fight against terrorism was continuing with full determination.
Paying tribute to the police officers and personnel who were martyred during the Ziarat operation, he said their sacrifices would not go in vain and those responsible would be brought to justice.
He reiterated that the government would make no compromise on the peace, stability and security of Balochistan, stressing that the complete elimination of terrorism remained the provincial government’s top priority.
