TEHRAN (Kashmir English): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met separately with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf in Tehran.

According to Iranian media, Mohsin Naqvi’s meeting with the Iranian President lasted 90 minutes. The meeting discussed bilateral relations and efforts to mediate for regional peace.

The Iranian Foreign and Interior Ministers were also present when Mohsin Naqvi met with the Iranian President at the Presidential Palace.

On this occasion, the Iranian President said that neighboring countries did not allow the misuse of their territory, which thwarted the plans of the US and Israel to spread insecurity in Iran. This action by neighboring countries was valuable and commendable.

The Iranian President thanked the governments of Pakistan, Iraq, and Afghanistan for not allowing action against Iran from their territory.

Interior Minister Mohsen Naqvi also met with the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.

According to Iranian media, Baqir Qalibaf said that he appreciates Pakistan’s support and cooperation during the recent war, and cooperation between the two countries in economic, cultural, and other fields should increase. Recent events show that the American presence in the region is the cause of the lack of security.

Baqir Qalibaf said that the American presence in the region paves the way for harming security. The countries of the region should pave the way for political and security cooperation through trust and cooperation.

Mohsen Naqvi said that Islamabad is witnessing your efforts in the negotiations. Your efforts to protect Iran’s interests and resolve problems are being witnessed. The people of Iran and Pakistan have now become closer, and the Pakistani people are praying for the success of the Iranian government and people.
